The US released its unadjusted CPI annual rate for October, which was 3.2%—slightly below expectations of 3.3% and lower than the previous 3.7%. The core CPI, excluding volatile food and energy prices, stood at 4%, in line with the previous value but below expectations of 4.1%. This indicates a slight easing of inflationary pressures, offering some respite to concerns about runaway inflation. While the figures suggest a moderation in price growth, the Federal Reserve will continue to closely monitor the data as it navigates the challenge of maintaining economic recovery while ensuring price stability.
